James Yap’s lawyers file gag order against Kris Aquino
James Yap’s legal counsel has filed a gag order to prohibit estranged wife Kris Aquino from "ventilating her (marital) concerns to the media," reports ABS-CBNNews.com. If approved, the order will also disallow the host-actress from Tweeting about the cager, according to PEP.ph.
Yap’s lawyer Lorna Kapunan said, "(The case) is becoming a ’we said, she said.’ Trial by publicity. It has to stop. James doesn’t have influence in the media. His side is never known."
In response, Aquino told TV Patrol World, "It’s hard to argue with a person employed by your ex. I mean, anything I say will be misinterpreted." She said the gag order will be a "blessing" for their three-year-old son, Baby James. "Ultimately, it’s his feelings that has to be protected."
The separated couple, currently going through an annulment process, has already agreed not to talk about each other in public, Aquino said in an ABS-CBNNews.com report. The court hearing for Yap’s motion for a gag order will be held on November 8, according to TV Patrol World.
