iPad to be officially launched in Manila on December 17

The iPad

Power Mac Center (PMC), the Apple premium reseller, will officially launch the iPad on December 17, reports Techie.com.ph.

Citing sources not connected to PMC, Techie.com.ph previously reported that the launch was today but "another bird (said) the postponement has something to do with ’red tape.’" The same report said the price list might be released "on the day of the launch itself, (like) what happened in Singapore." iPad prices start at US $499 in the online Apple Store and at SG $728 in the Singapore Apple Store.

PMC will offer free iPad lessons at Greenbelt 3 in Makati (1 p.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.) and at Trinoma in Quezon City (6 p.m.) from December 17 to 19. Get a chance to win an iPad monthly when you subscribe to Summit Promo Alerts.
