Is gag show Bubble Gang ending soon?
Yahoo Southeast Asia writer Ed Sicam speculates that GMA-7’s gag show Bubble Gang will sign off soon after interpreting a blind item by Ricky Lo of The Philippine Star.
Lo wrote, "One of my favorite shows... will soon fade out after one decade and a half on the air... I will shed a tear when the show finally bursts like a bubble." Sicam said it was "quite obvious" that Lo was referring to Bubble Gang, which premiered on October 20, 1995. Sicam added, "The giveaway line was, of course, his reference to the show finally bursting like a bubble. Ricky has very reliable sources in the industry so I have no doubt that the report is true."
"If it’s really true that ’BG’ is finally signing off and chances are it is, Michael V., Ogie (Alcasid), (director) Uro (de la Cruz), and the writers and cast are already assured of a special place in the history of Philippine television," Sicam said.
