Friends and family of murdered St.Paul student tap Facebook in search of justice

A slain student’s family and friends have taken their search for justice to Facebook and other social media, reports GMANews.tv. Mizzielle Jamyka "Myka" Cruz Gutierrez, a graduating student of Tourism at St. Paul University Manila, was found dead on February 1 at her boyfriend’s house in Pasay. According to the report, she was stabbed 10 times. Her boyfriend Christopher Von Moraleja, the police’s prime suspect, has been missing since her body was found.
On February 2, Gutierrez’ friends and family set up the Facebook page "Justice for MYKA Gutierrez." Netizens have expressed their condolences and posted news articles about the case on the page’s wall. As of posting time, 4,900 people have "liked" the page.
GMANews.tv reports that Gutierrez’ colleagues have also set up the "Justice for Myka" website. It contains links to news reports about her murder, the "Justice for MYKA Gutierrez" fan page, and her personal Facebook account.
