Many local celebs and politicians use cocaine, says undercover agent
An undercover agent for a drug enforcement group has revealed the rampant use of cocaine among celebrities and politicians, reports ABS-CBN News.
Identified only as "Max," the agent said in a report yesterday that there are artists from the major networks in the country-ABS-CBN, GMA and TV-5-who use cocaine. He refused to name the celebrities but said some are sexy and action stars, whom he meets in bars. ABS-CBN said the network "does not condone or tolerate the use of illegal drugs by its employees or talents."
"Hindi po ganoon kadali na basta ka huhuli ng mga artista, lalo na ’yong may mga pangalan na tao. Kakasuhan ka. Kailangang mapatunayan mo na talagang nagtutulak sila," he told ABS-CBN News. ("To apprehend celebrities and famous people, you have to catch them in the act.")
Max said he also deals with incumbent and former politicians, usually in their private homes.
The agent also claimed that cocaine deals are usually held in high-end clubs such as Dolce in Quezon City, Encore in Taguig, and Pharaoh and Icon in Makati.
Dolce, Icon and Encore said they do not condone the use of illegal drugs within their premises, reports ABS-CBN News. Pharaoh has not yet issued a statement as of posting time, according to the report.
