Bomb threat delays PAL flight in SF; Rufa Mae Quinto and Arnel Pineda among passengers
(SPOT.ph) A bomb threat delayed a Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight from Manila to San Francisco City earlier this week, reports ABS-CBN News. According to the report, PAL received a phone call about a supposed bomb planted inside the plane.
Flight PR 104 was taken to a remote part of the San Francisco airport where a bomb squad and sniffing dogs checked the plane. The 337 passengers included Journey singer Arnel Pineda and actress Rufa Mae Quinto. All the passengers and the 20 crew members were made to disembark "very far" from the terminal, Pineda said.
In a statement, PAL said, "(We apologize) for the delay and inconvenience. But the safety and security of our passengers are paramount, hence we gave our full cooperation to the investigators."
