At Sofitel’s Club Millésime, perks are aplenty-and not all are necessarily the tangible kind. Targeted at business travelers, the new club lounge offers five-star services and amenities that go beyond the humdrum of hotel hospitality. Personalized check-in, plus the exclusive use of the 10th floor lounge, which includes complimentary a la carte breakfasts, afternoon snacks, plus cocktails and daily wine tastings from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., are just some of the benefits exclusive to Club Millésime guests.
The lounge’s long, plush couches clad in clean earth tones create spacious seating in a business-chic vibe, while the large glass doors at one side of the room open to cozy pocket balconies where guests can dine al fresco somewhat privately, with a nice view of Manila Bay. For entertainment, Club Millésime is equipped with flat screen TVs and desktop computers strategically placed in various corners of the room, plus board games are also available for use. On weekends, breakfast means enjoying a buffet spread of Sofitel's specialties, including signature pastries and pralines from LeBar.
Large glass windows with unobstructed, 90-degree views of the bay make up one wall of the suite’s room, and if you happen to get the corner room at the far end of the hotel’s hallway, spectacular views of sundown (without getting up from bed, mind you) will be part and parcel of your stay. Room amenities are another story-finding the perfect pillow for you requires a decision from their pillow menu, plus Hermes toiletries are yours to use. Then there are the small details meant to make you feel right at home, that is, if home means having Bose speakers equipped with a music-filled iPod (in case you forgot to bring your own) around, a complimentary bottle of red wine waiting at your desk, and a long list of complimentary services at your disposal: suit pressing, the use of a conference room and library, 24-hour internet access, DVD rentals, access to the So Fit gym, among others.
In-room snacks include a fun plate of mango-infused pastries, pate and figs, plus a bottle of mango rum for a nightcap. If you end up not leaving your room at all, it probably won’t be the first time it’s happened, and if you’re lucky, you might even get to check-out as late as 4 p.m. But in case cabin fever hits, Sofitel’s hotel amenities seem to provide every cure: go for a dip at the hotel’s lagoon swimming pool, get serenaded by a DJ spinning chillout tunes at SoChill’s Sunset Sessions, binge-eat at the Spiral buffet, enjoy a hilot massage at the 24-hour LeSpa, or grab a drink (or four) at the newly opened Fever lounge.
