Vice President Jejomar Binay declared UP’s most distinguished alumnus

( The University of the Philippines Alumni Association (UPAA) has chosen Vice President Jejomar Binay as its most distinguished alumnus for the year, reports ABS-CBN News. UPAA will present Binay and several other notable alumni awards on June 25, its homecoming and reunion.

According to the report, Binay graduated from the university in 1962 with a degree in Political Science. He attended UP law a year later and graduated in 1967. In 1993, he received a diploma in Land Use Program from UP’s School of Urban Regional Planning. He also received another diploma in 2004 for Environmental and Natural Resources Management.

Also included in the roster of awardees are: Bb. Pilipinas-Universe 2011 Shamcey Supsup, fashion designer Jose "Pitoy" Moreno, and painter Araceli Limcaco-Dans, among others.
