Willie Revillame buys P200-M plane

(SPOT.ph) Wil Time Big Time (formerly Willing Willie) host Willie Revillame rewarded himself with a private plane worth P200 million, writes Ricky Lo in his Funfare column today, June 13.

According to Lo, Revillame also purchased the vacant lot beside Wil Tower, the commercial complex the controversial TV host is building which boasts a mall, cinemas, office and residential units, and a studio. Wil Tower is located across Revillame’s former workplace, ABS-CBN.

Lo added that the variety show host supposedly spent "tens of millions" to buy "hectares of property" in Tagaytay, which Lo said Revillame plans to convert to a resort. According to an unnamed source, Lo said Revillame was also spotted yesterday, June 12, in Ayala Alabang where he was reportedly checking out Enrique Zobel’s one-hectare lot with a house, garden, and helipad. According to the report, the property is priced at $10 million.

Despite Revillame’s spending, however, Lo pointed that Revillame has also made quite a few charitable contributions. "What Willie's detractors and harsh critics (that sprouted like mushrooms at the height of the "Jan-Jan incident") conveniently ignored (or perhaps they didn't know) was Willie's concern for poor children for whom he's putting up a P50M foundation, not to mention how he helped 40 OFWs come home, shelling out P500,000 from his own purse for their tickets," Lo wrote.
