Authentic Guangdong dim sum, hand-pulled noodles, wok-fried dishes only in Hyatt Hotel and Casino Manila
(SPOT.ph) This month, the Hyatt Hotel and Casino’s Li Li and Market Café offer authentic Chinese fare prepared by chefs from from the ultra-modern city of Dongguan, Guangdong, China. The hotel flew in master chefs Jose Wang, George Feng, and Byron Zhang from the Hyatt Dongguan and tasked each chef to prepare a speciality from Dongguan’s culinary melting pot of spicy, sweet, and savory cuisine.
Chef Wang is a master in the ancient art of Northern-Chinese hand-pulled noodles. His fresh, firm, and chewy creations are showcased in dishes like the Braised Beef Brisket (P320), Northern Chinese-style Dumplings (P298), and Shredded Pork with Preserved Vegetables (P298). Meanwhile, Chef Feng's 15-year dim-sum-making experience is evident in delectable Steamed Shrimp Dumpling with Asparagus (P218), Steamed Shanghai Pork Dumpling with Crab Meat (P218), and Crispy Fried Turnip Puff Pastry (P178). For main courses, Chef Zhang's tested wok-frying skills are flaunted in Wok-fried Chicken with Garlic, Chilli, and Sichuan Pepper (P488), Wok-fried Cabbage with Pork in Casserole (P398), and Stir-fried Prawns with Garlic and Premium Soya Sauce (P988).
Over 30 types of Guangdong dishes are featured in the special a la carte and Lauriat menu of Restaurant Li Li. Meanwhile, Market Café guests can enjoy Chef Wang's demonstration on making Northern-style hand-pulled noodles at lunch and dinner hours, as they indulge in the gastronomic Guangdong buffet priced at P1,490 (lunch) and P1,650 (dinner) per head, inclusive of free-flowing soft drinks and local beer.
