UP, Ateneo among top 50 English-teaching universities worldwide

(SPOT.ph) Quezon City-based University of the Philippines Diliman (UP) and Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) ranked 34th and 35th, respectively, in the Quacquerelli Symonds (QS) world ranking for the top 50 best English-teaching universities, reports GMA News.

The top two local colleges bested other universities like United Kingdom's University of Manchester (43rd) and the United States' Georgetown University (49th), Darthmouth College (51-100 range) and Fordham University (151-200 range).

Meanwhile, De La Salle University (DLSU) ranked in the 50-100 bracket and University of Santo Tomas (UST) ranked in the 101-150 bracket. Just last May, QS released their Top 200 Asian Universities ranking where UP was listed No. 62, ADMU No. 65, UST No. 104, and DLSU No. 107.
