Did Kobe Bryant, Derrick Rose, Kevin Durant receive $400,000 each for PH visit?

(SPOT.ph) A Sports Illustrated article revealed that NBA stars Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers), Derrick Rose (Chicago Bulls), and Kevin Durant (Oklahoma City Thunder) were reportedly paid $400,000 (P17 million) each for playing in the "Smart Ultimate All-Star Weekend" on July 23-24, reports Yahoo! News.


As the NBA is currently on lockout, Sports Illustrated writer Sam Amick said cagers were looking for more opportunities overseas. The All-Star Weekend, which featured two games-one against the Philippine Basketball Association and another versus the Philippine national team, was organized by the MVP Sports Foundation.
