Ruffa Gutierrez declines Ylmaz Bektas’ $2M-offer to see children
(SPOT.ph) Ruffa Gutierrez revealed that former husband Ylmaz Bektas offered her $2 million to get custody of their children, reports ABS-CBN News. Currently, Gutierrez has sole custody of their two kids, Lorin and Venice, while Bektas has visitation rights in the Philippines and the US. The Turkish businessman has to write a letter in case he wants to take the children elsewhere.
In an e-mail sent to GMA News on July 14, Bektas admitted that he offered Gutierrez money to see his kids but only for a week. "I would not have offered 2 million dollars to Ruffa in order to see my children for 1 week," he wrote. Gutierrez, however, believes this offer means the kids would live with Bektas in Turkey, telling ABS-CBN News "Sa tingin mo ibabalik pa niya sa akin (Do you think he’ll bring back my kids)?"
Gutierrez rejected the proposal. "My children are priceless. Walang dapat pinag-uusapan na pera kapalit ng mga anak ko. Hindi naman siya nag-o-offer ng sustento (There’s shouldn’t be any debate about money in exchange for my children. He doesn’t even offer money for child support)." According to a Journal.com report, Gutierrez even requested Bektas to pay for their schooling which he failed to do. Bektas, however, also denied this allegation in his e-mail, saying, "I always gave my money to my children."
