Georgina Wilson bashed over Twitter for hitting Paris-PNoy meet-up
(SPOT.ph) Model-TV host Georgina Wilson earned the ire of netizens yesterday, August 15, after she questioned celebutante Paris Hilton’s alleged courtesy call with President Noynoy Aquino, reports ABS-CBN News. Wilson tweeted: "Why is PNOY taking time out of his ’busy’ schedule to meet with Paris Hilton tomorrow? So shameful that he doesn’t have better things to do." Hilton arrived in Manila late on Sunday for a five-day trip.
Netizens, however, reacted negatively to Wilson’s tweet. "Y u so arrogant Georgina Wilson. Turn off," Sabrina del Rosario said, as quoted by ABS-CBN News. "Don’t be such a hater, Georgina Wilson! Paris Hilton is waaaaaay better than youuuu," Charlene Dacara tweeted. Others pointed at Wilson’s tweet as "bitter." PEP.ph quoted Twitter user Madox Llaguno when he said: "The only reason why Georgina Wilson has strong opinions re Paris is because she doesn’t have the opportunity to meet her."
Wilson, however, clarified over Twitter that her message was not meant to hurt anyone. "I don’t mean to offend anyone or be negative. I just think that Paris Hilton isn’t important enough for a president to meet up with. Night, guys :)," Wilson tweeted. Meanwhile, according to PEP.ph, Deputy Presidential Spokeperson Abigail Valte confirmed via a radio interview yesterday that no courtesy call between the hotel heiress and the President will take place.
