Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao, dubbed the "Pambansang Kamao," is setting his sights higher in the political arena. But it remains to be seen if his fans will be happy over it.
GMA News Online reports that the boxer-politician, who is the congressman of Sarangani province, made it known in an interview aired on dzBB that he’s seeking another position. He is, as the report said, "eyeing for the vice presidency in the 2016 elections."
"Come 2016 I am going to run for vice president... no more boxing at that time," Pacquiao said. The boxing champ also revealed that before he goes for the vice presidency, he will first "try running for governor in Sarangani province in Mindanao."
