P-Noy’s trust and approval ratings up, but "barely passing" in poverty reduction

Interaksyon.com reports that President Benigno Aquino III "continue to enjoy majority public approval and trust over a year into his presidency."

 

The report cited the results of the latest Pulse Asia survey, which was conducted from August 20 to September 2 among 1,200 adult respondents nationwide and had an error margin of +/-3 percent.

 

Aquino currently has an approval rating of 77 percent and trust rating of 75 percent, hardly different from his figures in May. The survey revealed that he got a passing mark for his performance as president. However, he was only given a "barely passing" mark of 75  when it came to poverty reduction.

 

The survey said that the lower socioeconomic classes that gave Aquino higher approval and trust ratings. Class E gave him 86 percent and 82 percent approval and trust ratings, respectively. Then, among the A, B and C classes, Aquino received only 68 percent and 64 percent approval and trust ratings.
