UP Pep Squad members go blonde, bag 2nd straight UAAP Cheerdance title

Inquirer.net reports that the University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad, with its members all sporting blonde hair, were declared the champions of the UAAP Cheerdance tilt for the second straight year.

Inquirer.net reports that the University of the Philippines (UP) Pep Squad, with its members all sporting blonde hair, were declared the champions of the UAAP Cheerdance tilt for the second straight year.

 

The UP Pep Squad wowed the crowd with their Madonna-inspired theme, as they did their routine to the tune of the pop star’s songs (most notably "Material Girl"). This year’s win is the seventh overall cheerdance title for the squad.

 

De La Salle University’s Animo Squad, with its Archer-warrior-themed routine,  bagged the first runner-up award. Meanwhile, the FEU Cheering Squad, which showed off breathtaking stunts, was named second runner-up.

 

The UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe got fourth place, the Adamson University Pep Squad finished fifth, and the National University Pep Squad came in sixth.

 

The Inquirer.net report noted that the Ateneo de Manila University Blue Babble Battalion, which had some trouble with the execution of stunts, got seventh place. The University of the East Pep Squad, which performed a very simple routine, placed last.
