( The Philippine Volcanoes bagged the silver medal in the 2011 Asian Men’s Rugby 7s  held in Kota Kinabalu on September 24 and 25, securing them a spot in the 2012 Hong Kong 7s, reports

The rugby team bested opponents from Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and China. Their final opponent, Japan, delivered a stunning 46-0 outcome.
