ABS-CBNNews.com reports that despite a knee injury, Philippine Azkals winger Chieffy Caligdong "came up with crucial goals to lead the team to a 2-0 victory over Macau" in the 2011 Long Teng Cup in Taiwan.

Caligdong, who sat out the first half of the game due to his injury, scored his first goal in the 58th minute off a free kick by fellow Azkal Mark Hartmann. Caligdong scored another goal in the 87th minute, again off a pass from Hartmann.

Caligdong, with four goals in the tournament, is in the running to be the top scorer in the tournament. The Azkals’ victory over Macau was their first win.

A GMA News Online report says, "Whether the Philippines finish second or third will depend on the Hong Kong-Taiwan result. Should the hosts and reigning champions draw Taiwan, the Philippines will finish third on goal difference (goals scored-goals conceded). Should Hong Kong win, however, the hosts will retain the Long Teng Cup while the loser will drop to third and the Philippines finish in second."
