MB.com.ph reports that the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) has named Piolo Pascual as one of its Ambassadors for Culture.
According to the NCCA’s press release Pascual was tapped for the job because of "his mass appeal; his positive image, which can inspire and influence people of all ages; his love for culture and the arts; and his outstanding achievements as a young Filipino who can reach to all Filipinos around the globe."
Pascual shares the title with talk show host Boy Abunda and fellow actor Dingdong Dantes. They will be working with the NCCA in various programs aimed at strengthening cultural awareness and appreciation. In fact, Pascual is featured in an infomercial for National Indigenous People’s Month this October.
