ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Lady Gaga’s stylist Nicola Formichetti paved the way for Filipino-British designer Ralph Joseph Rovero, 24, to show his own collection in last month's issue of Vogue Homme in Japan.

Rovero, who graduated from the University of Westminster’s School of Fashion, related, "I discovered Nicola Formicetti through my favorite magazine Daze and Confused. He was the fashion editor of the magazine. I emailed him and he emailed back he said that he likes my collection and that to keep in touch, which he did."

Rovera was only six years old when his family decided to move to London from Pangasinan. "I am proud to be a Filipino and to be on Vogue Japan. All Filipinos are really known for working hard. I hope that I am an example of that," he said.

According to the report, Rovero's works have also been featured on popular British magazines such as GQ Style, WAD (We Are Different), Disorder, and others.
