Interaksyon.com-citing information received from the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) yesterday, October 18-reports that a court in Malaysia recently convicted Malaysian Kwong Tuck Choy and his Filipina wife Nancy for the trafficking of three Filipinas.

In 2009, the couple forced the three women-Dynalyn, age 23; Rhea, 23; and Sarah, 24 (no last names were given)-into prostitution. The women are already back in the Philippines.

According to the Philippine Embassy in Malaysia, the Jalan Duta Sessions Court 14 in Kuala Lumpur sentenced the couple to eight years imprisonment and meted out a fine of RM30,000 (about $10,000) or RM5,000 ($1,666) for each charge per accused.
