Interaksyon.com reports that Janelle Manahan, the girlfriend of the slain Ram Revilla, is now in stable condition at the Asian Hospital in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.

Manahan, who was shot twice in the jaw by the same person who killed Revilla, gave her statement to the authorities. She told the police that Revilla’s sister, Ma. Ramona Belen Bautista (nicknamed Ramona or Mara), entered the Revilla house in BF Homes, Parañaque, ahead of the masked gunman who killed Revilla at dawn on October 29.

Police also revealed that after Manahan and Revilla were shot, Manahan allegedly heard Ramona shouting, "Tama na! Tama na! (Enough! Enough!)"

According to Chief Inspector Enrique Sy, Manahan asked Ramona to call an ambulance after the shooting, but the latter "never came back." A barangay team who came upon the crime scene said that it seemed that nobody had made attempts to help Revilla and Manahan before they arrived.

Meanwhile, in Ramona’s own statement to the police, she said she went to Ramgen’s bedroom to borrow her brother’s video recorder, when the gunman rushed in just as she was opening the door. After the shooting, Ramona said her brother’s attacker dragged her into a van and dropped her off near Star Mall in Las Piñas.

However, police said the security guards and vendors near the establishment claimed that they did not notice any vehicle dropping off Ramona. They only saw her approach a food stall and ask for help, saying her brother had been killed. While the guards were talking to Ramona, a vehicle arrived and brought her to the police station. Ramona is now under the custody of her half-brother, Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr., while her brother Ramon Joseph is under police custody.

In defense of Ramona’s actions, her lawyer Atty. Dennis Manzana said, "In a state of panic people act differently. Hindi mo puwedeng sabihin na komo hindi humingi ng assistance yung bata, may kinalaman na siya sa krimen [You can’t say that she had something to do with the crime just because she did not seek assistance]."
