VIDEO: PH’s Gwendoline Ruais is first runner-up in 2011 Miss World Pageant

PEP.ph reports that the Philippines’ bet, Gwendoline Ruais, was named first runner-up in the 2011 Miss World pageant held at Earls Court Two in London.

PEP.ph reports that the Philippines’ bet, Gwendoline Ruais, was named first runner-up in the 2011 Miss World pageant held at Earls Court Two in London on Sunday, November 6 (UK time).

 

The Miss World title was bagged by Miss Venezuela Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colmenares. Miss Puerto Rico Amanda Victoria Pérez was hailed second runner-up. Completing the seven finalists were Miss England Alize Lily Mounter, Miss Korea Kyung Min Doe, Miss South Africa Bokang Ramaredi Montjane, and Miss Scotland Jennifer Reoch.

 

With her win, Ruais tied for the highest finish for the Philippines in the Miss World pageant, which our country has never won. Actress Evangeline Pascual also finished first runner-up in 1973. In 1993, Ruffa Gutierrez was named second runner-up in the pageant.
