PBA player Ali Peek shot, now in stable condition; Manny Pangilinan offers P500,000 reward for information on gunman

(UPDATE No. 2, 11:53 a.m., November 8) Inquirer.net reports that Talk 'N Text (TNT) center Ali Peek, 36, was shot by an unidentified gunman last night at the parking lot of RFM Gym on Pioneer St. in Mandaluyong City.
According to the Mandaluyong police chief, Senior Superintendent Armando Bolalin, Peek sought help from two bystanders after sustaining a gunshot wound in the nape. Peek was reportedly rushed to The Medical City. The incident happened at around 7:15 p.m.
GMA News Online, citing Talk 'N Text coach Chot Reyes, reported that Peek is now "conscious and in stable condition." Another report from the news site revealed that TNT basketball team owner Manuel Pangilinan has offered a P500,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect who shot Peek. The report said that the Mandaluyong police "still have to determine the motive behind the shooting."
