More than 70% of Pinoys still trust P-Noy, says Pulse Asia survey

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that based on the November 2011 Pulse Asia survey, Filipinos have given President Benigno Aquino III an appreciation rating of 72% and a trust rating of 74%.

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that based on the November 2011 Pulse Asia survey, Filipinos have given President Benigno Aquino III an appreciation rating of 72% and a trust rating of 74%.

 

The report noted:  "Aquino's appreciation rating registered a decline of around five percentage points from the August figures. His trust rating, however, dropped only by one percentage point, which is considered a marginal decline."

 

Despite theencouraging overall figures, Pulse Asia observed the disenchantment with the Aquino administration’s performance on selected national issues." The following "points of decline" were presented:

 

  • a decline of 7 percentage points to 53% for "fighting criminality;"
  • 4 points down to 53% in "enforcing the law to all;"
  • 7 points down to 50% in "increasing peace in the country;"
  • 1 point down to 49% for "stopping the destruction and abuse of environment;"
  • 5 points down to 48% for "creation of more jobs;"
  • 5 points down to 44% for "strengthening the people's trust in the government and its officials;"
  • 8 points down to 43% in "increasing/improving the pay of workers;"
  • 6 points down to 42% in "controlling fast population growth;"
  • 7 points down to 32% in "controlling inflation;" and
  • 8 points down to 32% in "reducing the poverty of many Filipinos."
