Noli, Mar, Chiz, and Loren among "early favorites" for 2013 Senate polls, says Pulse Asia survey

Pulse Asia noted: "Even though there are still 18 months to go before the next senatorial  elections, public interest in the electoral exercise is already apparent with Filipinos naming a mean of 9 and a median of 11 of their preferred senatorial  candidates (out of a maximum of 12) for May 2013."

 

The top 15 senatorial picks are the following:

1. Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero (65.6 percent)

2. Senator Loren Legarda (58.9 percent)

3. Department of Transportation and Communications Secretary Manuel A. Roxas II (43 percent)

4. Senator Alan Peter S. Cayetano (40.3 percent)

5. Former Vice President Noli de Castro (34.8 percent).

6. San Juan City Representative Joseph Victor Ejercito (30.4 percent)

7. Senator Gregorio B. Honasan (29.6 percent)

8. Cagayan Representative Juan Ponce Enrile, Jr. (29.5 percent)

9. Senator Aquilino Martin Pimentel III (29.4 percent)

10. Department of Justice Secretary Leila de Lima (also 29.4 percent)

11. Former Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri (26.9 percent)

12. Senator Antonio F. Trillanes IV (28.7 percent)

13. Aurora Province Representative Juan Edgardo M. Angara (24.3 percent),

14. Former Senator Jamby Madrigal (24.0 percent)

15. Former Senator Richard J. Gordon (22.1 percent).

The runners-up include:


16. News anchor Korina Sanchez (20.7 percent)

17. TV5 personality Willie Revillame (18.8 percent)

18. News anchor Mike Enriquez (11 percent)

19. Richard Gomez (9.2 percent)

20.Former presidential candidate Gibo Teodoro (18.1 percent)
