Atty. Ferdinand Topacio certainly doesn’t conceal his fascination for Adolf Hitler. (Screenshot from Bandila video clip)
In November last year, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, who is the lawyer of former First Gentleman Mike Arroyo, gained notoriety when he said, " I’m willing to do the worst. Ipatatanggal ko ang itlog ko ’pag di bumalik ang mga Arroyo (I’ll have one of my balls removed if the Arroyos don’t return [to the country])."
Â
This time around, he’s getting flak for championing Adolf Hitler. ABS-CBNNews.com, citing a Bandila segment, reports that Topacio’s fascination with Hitler came to light on December 27, 2011, when the network’s news crew interviewed him in his office. A huge portrait of Hitler was displayed there.
Â
Another ABS-CBNNews.com report pointed out that Hitler ruled Germany from 1934 to 1945, during which the country went to war against the U.S.-led Allied Forces in World War II. Hitler was the architech of the Holocaust, wherein around six million Jews were brutalized and then killed by the Nazis.
Â
In defense of Hitler, Topacio said, "Wala naman kasing taong pulos masama o mabuti. Naging asensado ang Germany sa ilalim ng kanyang pamamalakad (There’s no person who’s all bad or all good. Germany became very prosperous during his rule)." Topacio also said that "there is no evidence that Hitler ordered the Holocaust" and that the Germans only murdered Jews "because they were starting to lose the war."
Â
SPOT.ph came upon a tweet by user @BaronGeyser, which pointed out a much-debated factoid about Hitler having only one testicle. Thus, @BaronGeyser mused that Topacio’s "wagering of his ball" was most likely inspired by Hitler, too.
