What you’ll be eating and drinking this year.


( For those of you who haven't heard, food is the new cool and never has the famous aphorism "You are what you eat" meant more than it does today. There was a time in the not-so-distant past when people asked what you did for a living to start up a conversation. Nowadays people seem more interested in what you had for lunch, where you had it and what you're having for dinner than they are with the details of how you make ends meet.

2012 promises a vibrant food scene with hot new restaurants, ambitious chefs and yes, more delicious food.  So what exactly can we expect this year? In this age of galvanizing change, the term "food trend" seems too fickle for us, but judging on what we have seen, heard and gorged on over last year, we've got  a few "big"  ideas of our own.
