Transport strike happening today, March 15; San Juan, Parañaque suspend classes in all levels; QC suspends elementary, high school classes

ABS-CBNNews.com reports: "Classes in all levels in public and private schools in Parañaque and San Juan are suspended Thursday, March 15, due to a planned protest by jeepney drivers and operators. In Quezon City, [only] classes in the elementary and high school levels are suspended, according to Mayor Herbert Bautista."

ABS-CBNNews.com noted that transport groups "are set to stage a protest caravan to show their dismay over the deferment of the decision on the P0.50 provisional fare hike for jeepneys." The report pointed out that the Department of Education "has left the decision to call off Thursday classes (March 15) to the respective city governments."
