29-year-old man dies after joining beer-drinking contest in Puerto Galera

ABS-CBNNNews.com reports that Niño Maralit-a 29-year-old employee Tongshing Electronics Philippines and a resident of Bigain 1st, San Jose, Batangas-died while on vacation in Puerto Galera. Maralit, who was declared dead on arrival at the Delos Reyes Clinic on Saturday, April 7, had reportedly joined a beer-drinking contest.

ABS-CBNNNews.com reports that Niño Maralit-a 29-year-old employee of Tongshing Electronics Philippines and a resident of Bigain 1st, San Jose, Batangas-died while on vacation in Puerto Galera. Maralit, who was declared dead on arrival at the Delos Reyes Clinic on Saturday, April 7, had reportedly joined a beer-drinking contest.

 

The report noted: "According to his colleagues, Maralit joined a beer-drinking contest organized by a tobacco firm at a resort in White Beach. They noticed he had drunk too many and advised him to stop and rest awhile. After a few minutes, they noticed that he had stopped breating. He was given first aid and was rushed to the hospital."
