Ara Mina mulls withdrawing libel, grave coercion charges if sister Cristine Reyes issues "sincere public apology"

InterAksyon.com reports that Ara Mina "intends to pursue her libel and grave coercion case against her sister Cristine Reyes. She might be appeased by a public apology, but only if her younger half-sibling would do it with sincerity."

InterAksyon.com reports that Ara Mina "intends to pursue her libel and grave coercion case against her sister Cristine Reyes. She might be appeased by a public apology, but only if her younger half-sibling would do it with sincerity."

The report noted: "Ara said Cristine sent her conciliatory text messages after she filed  her lawsuit at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on April 18 over a series of vulgar text messages Cristine had allegedly sent her during the recent Holy Week." Ara quipped: "Nagti-text nga siya. Sabi niya kalimutan na raw namin 'yung nangyari alang-alang kay Mommy. Pero hindi ko maramdaman 'yung sincerity, e (Yes, she has sent me text messages. She’s asking that we just forget what happened for the sake of our mother. But I don’t feel her sincerity)."

Ara, 32, further claimed that Cristine, 23, visited their mother to explain her side, "only to lose her temper." The report pointed out: "Ara reiterates that Cristine needs a lesson in manners. One of Cristine's hurtful messages that Ara showed the media last week could form the basis of the libel case: "I'm sure ibebenta mo 'yang laspag mong katawan na pinagsawaan na ng lahat. Daig pa aso sa sobrang kati (I’m sure you’ll just sell your used up body that already been enjoyed by everyone. You’re no better than a dog that wants its itch to get scratched)." Ara herself publicized the alleged text message from Cristine.

Meanwhile, in an ABS-CBNNews.com report, Cristine’s lawyer Atty. Heather Annang "appealed to the public to leave the sisters alone so they can resolve the problem peacefully." Annang indicated that Cristine has chose to keep mum on the issue.
