InterAksyon.com reports that Filipino boxing icon and incumbent Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao has opposed US President Barack Obama's support on same-sex marriages. In an interview with Examiner.com, Pacquiao reportedly stressed that it should always be "God’s words first" And that people should "just believe" in what the Bible says.

"God only expects man and woman to be together and to be legally married, only if they so are in love with each other," Pacquiao reportedly told the Examiner. "It should not be of the same sex so as to adulterate the altar of matrimony, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah of Old."

Pacquiao also reportedly said that the US should set a tone on morality for other nations to follow.
