SPOT EXCLUSIVE: First "Ang Nawawala" Poster Revealed!
The Roco twins star in this Cinemalaya film fest finalist about family, romance, and the indie music scene.
(SPOT.ph) Here’s the first poster for Marie Jamora’s directorial debut and Cinemalaya Independent Film 2012 Finalist "Ang Nawawala" (What Isn’t There), starring Dominic Roco, Dawn Zulueta, Felix Roco, Boboy Garrovillo, Mercedes Cabral, and Marc Abaya, and featuring the music of Sandwich, Pedicab, Itchyworms, Tarsius, Outerhope, and more.
Here is the film’s official synopsis:
Gibson Bonifacio stopped speaking when he was a child. Now twenty years old, he returns home to Manila from his studies abroad, his first visit in three years. He finds his family trying to keep it together, his mother still hurting from a tragic loss in the past. Against the backdrop of the vibrant local music scene, his childhood best friend tries to reconnect with him, while he unexpectedly finds a chance at a first, real romantic relationship. Amidst the holidays, Gibson reconsiders and redefines his relationships with his family, his friends, and with himself.
A project in almost ten years of development, this is the feature-length directorial debut of Marie Jamora, who previously made her mark in television (she was the director of Project Runway Philippines’ first season), music videos (including Urbandub’s "First of Summer" and Sandwich’s raucous "Sugod") and commercials.
Diego Mapa and Jay Gapasin’s electro outfit Tarsius released a teaser music video for "Ang Nawawala" last week, featuring their song "Deathless Gods", also directed by Marie Jamora.
Tje film will screen on July 20-29, 2012, at CCP, Greenbelt, and Trinoma. Find out more about the movie at AngNawawala.com
