First came Ambo, then came Butchoy, now it’s Carina’s turn.

InterAksyon.com-citing information from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA)-reports that another storm is expected to enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Wednesday, June 20.

The report quoted PAGASA forecaster Manny Mendoza, who said "the storm with international name ’Talim’ is still outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) over the West Philippine Sea but is expected to enter the country by Wednesday afternoon. Once it does, the storm will have the local name, ’Carina.’" Mendoza added that the new storm "has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and is heading east northeast." Mendoza also explained that "it will likely not make landfall and is expected to head to Taiwan but, like ’Butchoy,’  it is expected to enhance the southwest monsoon and bring rains to parts of Northern Luzon."
