Road rage shooting in Quezon City leaves 12-year-old boy and tricycle driver wounded

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that tricycle driver Marlon Cabunyag and his passenger, 12-year-old Kyle Cuntapay were shot during a traffic altercation in Quezon City on Wednesday morning, June 20.

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that tricycle driver Marlon Cabunyag and his passenger, 12-year-old Kyle Cuntapay were shot during a traffic altercation in Quezon City on Wednesday morning, June 20. The report revealed that the shooting occurred at the corner of Kamias Road and K-H Street in Barangay West Kamias. The suspect, a man who was allegedly accompanied by a group, was driving a a white van with plate number UTA 657.

 

The report cited witnesses, who said the suspect alighted from his vehicle and shot Cabunyag at close range. He then fired another shot, which hit Cuntapay, who was on his way to school. The report further revealed: "A source of radio dzMM said the van was a 1997 model of a Mitsubishi L300 Versa. The vehicle was registered to a resident of Barangay Pembo, Makati City."

 

Cabunyag, who shot on his side, and Cuntapay, who was shot on his  foot, were rushed to East Avenue Medical Center for treatment. Police investigation is now ongoing.
