Only 1,800 guests will be allowed inside Congress plenary hall on during P-Noy’s July 23 SONA due to "weak building"

InterAksyon.com-citing House deputy secretary general Artemio Adaza Jr.-reports that only 1,800 persons of the total 4,000 expected guests will be allowed inside the plenary hall of the House of Representatives during President Benigno Simeon "Noynoy" Aquino’s July 23 State of the Nation Address (SONA).

The report quoted Adaza, who explained, "This time we will limit the placing of the Monobloc (chairs). Medyo binawasan na natin dahil medyo mahina na ang ating building, hindi na kaya kung isisiksik natin lahat (We reduced the number of chairs because the building is weak and it can’t take a lot of people)."

 

The report also noted that the "the second and third galleries, which hang above the 40-year-old hall, were occupied by the members of the media and other guests in the past SONA."
