2 Pinoy chefs honored by the American Culinary Federation

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that during the American Culinary Federation (ACF) National Convention held in Orlando, Florida from July 14 to 17, Filipinos Gene Cordova of the American Hospitality Academy (AHA) Philippines and Melissa Sison of the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA) Manila were among the chefs and establishments honored "for advancing the culinary arts profession."

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that during the American Culinary Federation (ACF) National Convention held in Orlando, Florida from July 14 to 17, Filipinos Gene Cordova of the American Hospitality Academy (AHA) Philippines and Melissa Sison of the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA) Manila were among the chefs and establishments honored "for advancing the culinary arts profession." They each received a President's Medallion from ACF. The report noted that more than 1,000 chefs, cooks, students and food service professionals attended the event.

 

The report futher revealed that "Cordova is the president and managing partner of AHA Philippines, and has studied at Le Cordon Bleu and Hotel Ritz Escoffier in Paris, France" while Sison is the first Filipina executive chef to be certified by the ACF.
