(SPOT.ph) First and foremost, are you okay, Manila? Monsoon rains forced Metro Manila into a standstill yesterday as government and privately owned offices declared suspension of work. Schools at all levels were declared suspended.

Manila reportedly witnessed a deluge of rain even worse than that brought on by Ondoy. Marikina residents were evacuated as well as those from Valenzuela, Cainta, and Malabon; the last three were declared in a state of calamity as of 8:30pm. Authorities warn that the rains will continue to pour until Thursday. Here are a few helpful numbers, just in case. Should you still need assistance, or would like to be of assistance, details are below.

Children from the CRIBS Foundation were also evacuated to the Loyola School of Theology, and they are currently looking for volunteers.

The Ateneo Loyola Heights campus has also opened its parking areas and classrooms for those in need of shelter and dry space.

The Crusada party of Ateneo is accepting donations of food (canned goods/noodles), medicine (for fever, LBM, cough and colds), raincoats, blankets, clothes for kids and adults as well as tarpaulins.
