August 18 declared as "Jesse Robredo Day" in Naga

Juan Escandor Jr. of The Philippine Daily Inquirer reports that according to Naga City Vice Mayor Gabriel Bordado, Atty. Leni Robredo  "gave the go signal to declaring August 18 as ’Jesse M. Robredo Day.’"

The report explained that Leni "wanted the Jesse M. Robredo Day on the day of the crash to remember his loss rather than on his birthday on May 27, which is also the foundation day of the province of Camarines Sur that is being celebrated with the ’Kaogma Festival (Happy Festival).’"
