ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Malabon Mayor Canuto "Tito" Oreta, 73, passed away on Monday morning, September 3, after a long battle with lung cancer. The report noted that (the mayor’s) nephew and Malabon Vice Mayor Antolin "Lenlen" Oreta III is now the acting mayor. The younger Oreta is the first cousin of President Noynoy Aquino. His mother is former Senator Tessie Aquino-Oreta.
