Tutuban Mall fire may last 3 days, say firefighters

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that the fire at the Tutuban Mall in Divisioria, which has lasted more than 30 hours, may flare up again.

The report quoted Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region Chief Santiago Laguna, who said that "they fear that the fire inside the building will last for three days before it is extinguished because there are many combustible objects such as clothing in the mall, which will keep the fire raging." He added that "firemen are also having difficulty entering the building due to the thickness of smoke inside" and they lacked "sufficient breathing apparatus." Thus, there is no way for them to get to all the nooks and crannies of the building.
