Karl John C. Reyes of InterAksyon.com reports that according to Senator Bongbong Marcos, his mother, former First Lady-turned-Ilocos Rep. Imelda Marcos, "wants to take back her jewelry confiscated by the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG)." The jewels, which were confiscated shortly after the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution, are being put up for public display and may potentially be up for public auction as well.

The InterAksyon.com report revealed that in an interview with various reporters, Sen. Marcos claimed, "Maraming nawawala. Kasi noong ibinigay sa amin ang listahan-hiningi namin ang listahan sa PCGG-nakita ng mother ko, marami ng kulang dito (A lot are missing. When we were given the list - we asked for the list from the PCGG - my mother saw that a lot were missing)."

Sen. Marcos also said he will consult the family’s lawyers to confirm if the PCGG’s planned potential auction of his mother’s jewelry is legal.
