Cesar Montano reveals the late director Marilou Diaz-Abaya wanted to do a "Ninoy movie"

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that in an interview on Tuesday, October 9, actor Cesar Montano "revealed that he was supposed to do a film biopic of hero Benigno ’Ninoy’ Aquino, Jr. with the late multi-awarded director Marilou Diaz Abaya."

ABS-CBNNews.com reports that in an interview on Tuesday, October 9, actor Cesar Montano "revealed that he was supposed to do a film biopic of hero Benigno ’Ninoy’ Aquino, Jr. with the late multi-awarded director Marilou Diaz Abaya." Montano said the film didn’t puhs through because Diaz-Abaya was diagnosed with breast cancer. He added that Diaz-Abaya had started writing the script for the movie.

 

The report noted: "Montano is known as one of Abaya’s favorite actors, having starred in her award-winning movies Muro-Ami, Jose Rizal, and Bagong Buwan."
