2 Caloocan City cops refuse ₱100,000 bribe from mom who wanted her son released from jail

Gigi Munoz-David of Manila Standard Today reports that Edna Morales, a 63-year-old meat vendor, "ended up in jail after she allegedly offered policemen ₱100,000 in exchange for the release of her son who was arrested for selling drugs in a sting operation at around 11 p.m. on Sunday, October 21."

According to the report, Morales’ 29-year-old son, Christopher, was caught with "two plastic sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride during the sting operation at his residence on 36 Panday Pira St., Barangay 144, Caloocan City." The report revealed: "Minutes after her son’s arrest, Morales went to the police station and tried to bribe the arresting policemen, Police Officers 3 Jerome Pascual and Ferdinand Medina, with  ₱100,000 for her son’s freedom."
