CBCP offers Undas Online for faraway faithful

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines has revived Undas Online, a website for faithful Filipinos too far away to visit their dearly departed.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines has revived Undas Online, a website for faithful Filipinos too far away to visit their dearly departed.

"This is primarily intended for Filipinos abroad- OFWs and seafarers who will find it hard to celebrate Undas," Monsignot Pedro Quitorio, CBCP Media Office director, said on the CBCP News website.

Among the website’s features are a "Virtual Visit to a Cemetery," which has a slideshow of cemeteries as well as prayers that Catholics should say for the dead.

Undas Online also offers podcasts on the significance of the All Saints’ and All Souls’ holidays to Catholics. People can also request prayers and Masses for their dead through the website. CBCP News says the website received 20,000 prayer requests last year.
