Sid Ventura of Yahoo! PH Sports reports Japeth Aguilar, a former player for the PBA’s Talk N’ Text, has been tapped to play for the Santa Cruz Warriors. "He is now officially the first pure homegrown Filipino player to be drafted in the NBA D-League," the report said. The D-League, or Development League, is the official minor league of the NBA.

Aguilar, on his Twitter account, had this to say: "Thank you Lord!!! God is great!!" He had been working out with different D-League teams since August.  The Warriors play out of Kaiser Permanente Arena in Santa Cruz, California.
