Rodolfo Magadia, a traffic aide in Pasay City, faces a robbery (extortion) charge after trying to extort money from an undercover policeman.

Maricar Brizuela of The Philippine Daily Inquirer reports Magadia was caught in a sting operation by Senior Police Officer 1 Javier Bibail. Bibail said Magadia tried to collect P500 from him for a traffic violation.

Magadia’s colleage recognized the policeman, prompting the traffic aide to return "Bibail's license and was quoted as saying, ’Sir, pulis pala kayo. Sige po, di bale na lang. Ito na po ang lisensya niyo (Sir, I didn't know you are a policeman. Just forget about the incident. Here's your license).’" Police officers then moved in to arrest him.

The entrapment operation was prompted by reports that traffic aides had been extorting from motorists on Airport Road, Andrews Avenue, and Tramo Street in Pasay City.
