Annabelle Rama and Bianca Gonzales skirt libel complaints filed by Amalia Fuentes

The Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office has ordered libel complaints filed by actress Amalia Fuentes against Annabelle Rama and Bianca Gonzales dismissed for lack of "good and sufficient reason to charge respondents."

The Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office has ordered libel complaints filed by actress Amalia Fuentes against Annabelle Rama and Bianca Gonzales dismissed for lack of "good and sufficient reason to charge respondents."

Julien Merced Matabuena of the Manila Bulletin reports the prosecutor found no merit in the complaint, which stemmed from Gonzales’ newspaper column and Rama’s tweets that Fuentes said demeaned her.

Assistant City Prosecutor John Patrick Corpuz is quoted as saying Rama "was just recounting past event/s in her and husband’s Eddie’s life during the interview. If ever, she revealed events in their life that involved Amalia, that was but part of the narration." He also said Gonzales’ column  was "a fair and true report of Bianca's interview of Annabelle."

Corpuz also said supposedly demeaning comments that Rama allegedly made against Fuentes on Twitter are not covered by the Revised Penal Code.
