Kathrina Alvarez of Sun.Star Online reports Arroyo’s lawyer, Maria Rosario del Rosario, has filed a motion asking the court to grant her client a leave of three weeks "in keeping with the spirit of joy, hope, peace, love and goodwill during the Yuletide season and in observance of the revered tradition of togetherness, oneness and unity of the Filipino family during the nativity of the Lord Jesus Christ."
Arroyo, detained at the Veterans’ Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City for a plunder case, is willing to pay for additional expenses for police officers and escorts who will keep an eye on her in Lubao if the motion is granted.
